Two silent featurettes starring Gloria Swanson:

  • Teddy at the Throttle (1917 - Silent -20 minutes) Directed by Clarence G. Badger. Starring Gloria Swanson. Co-starring Swanson's husband at the time, Wallace Beery. Also Bobby Vernon, May Emory, Blanche Phillips. Teddy, a Great Dane, must rescue our heroine--and apparently her boyfriend as well since he seems to have gotten himself tied up by the villain.

  • Danger Girl (1916 - Silent - 20 minutes) Directed by Charles Parrott. Starring Gloria Swanson and Bobby Vernon. A girl desperately wanting to be a race car driver disguises herself as a man in order to pull it off. Gloria really sank her teeth into the role and worked hard at perfecting her part. Director Charles Parrott got the idea for The Danger Girl after seeing Gloria drive like a speed demon through the Keystone Studio gates one day. Wallace Beery - her husband - had been teaching her to drive and Gloria loved the power she had behind the wheel.
