DESCRIPTION

A rare, hard-to-find early history of cinema. Assembled by Edison collaborator J. Stuart Blackton and Vitagraph director William P.S. Earle. Includes original film clips from:

  • The Big Parade (1925 - Silent - Clip) Directed by King Vidor. A thoughtful story about how WWI effects the lives of the soldiers and those who love them.

  • Steamboat Willie (1928 - Silent - Clip) Directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The first Mickey Mouse soundie about Mickey working on a steamboat, but there is no dialogue.

  • The Sneeze (1890s - Silent - Clip) a remarkable re-creation of Edison's 1890's short.

  • and others.
