Original air date 3/12/66. Host: Fred Astaire. This musical extravaganza is one of the all-time classic PALACE episodes. Astaire sings and dances to Fascinatin’ Rhythm and Lady Be Good, and together with special guest Ethel Merman does a fantastic medley that includes I Got Rhythm, Everything's Coming Up Roses, I Get a Kick Out of You, Cheek to Cheek," Puttin' on the Ritz and Anything Goes. Jack Jones performs his hit song, The Shadow of Your Smile and famous French mime Marcel Marceau contributes a hilarious skit. Tumbling acrobats (a father and his three daughters), comedian Pat Morita, and a balancing act round out the show.
