Original air date 9/18/65. Host: Bing Crosby performs the show's theme song, Put On a Happy Face" for this third season opener. Caterina Valente sings a medley of popular tunes with Bing Crosby, including Slow Boat to China. Tim Conway performs a comedy routine about a jockey, and the team of Jack Burns & Avery Schreiber do their "taxi" routine. The Nitwits, a comedy music group, generate more laughs. Australian dance troupe The Rudos and Bertha the Elephant round out the acts. In the commercials: Edie Adams for Muriel Cigars and Dennis Day for Chiffon.
