DESCRIPTION
Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- THE HERO - A new Merry Man, Mark, has become a hero under false pretenses. But is he hero enough to take the consequences? Guest Stars: Bill Owen, John Dearth, Susan Richmond. Directed by Terence Fisher.
- OUTLAW MONEY - Outlaws have different solutions to money problems. To aid the heavily taxed Lotham villagers , Robin sends table silver to the silversmith and official minter of Nottingham to make into coin. Unknown to Robin, the Sheriff suspects the silversmith is loyal to King Richard. Guest Stars: Sidney James, Leonard Sachs.
- THE CHRISTMAS GOOSE - Young Davey has a pet goose, who is very attached to him. One day she saves him from a flogging by Sir Leon, but in so doing is taken and sentenced to become Sir Leon's Christmas dinner. Robin and Tuck have a plan. Guest Stars: Jon Whiteley, Jack Watling, Jane Asher. Directed by Don Chaffey.
