Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- THE GOLDMAKER - Marian’s friend Sir Richard of the Lea has a lot of debts. He also has lots of nice pewter plate. When an “alchemist” arrives claiming he can turn it into gold, Sir Richard believes. Now Robin has to outwit the “goldmaker” and avoid the Sheriff. Guest Stars: Ian Hunter, Alfie Bass, Victor Woolf, Edward (Knight Rider) Mulhare.
- THE SCIENTIST - Albertus the scientist has a terrible weapon that he is afraid may fall into the wrong hands. Can Robin save him and his invention from the Sheriff? Guest Stars: Miles Malleson, Charles Lloyd Pack.
- THE TRAITOR - Robin and his men are outlaws, but not traitors, and when they learn that one of three men on a secret mission is a traitor, they decide to do something. Guest Stars: Hugh Latimer, Charles Stapley, John Dearth, John Longden, Desmond Llewellyn (“Q”).
