1957 - Are you ready for this plotline? The high council of the Emerald planet (boy do these guys look ridiculous) is fearful that radiation from atomic tests on Earth will drift through space and eventually destroy their beautiful planet. So...they send Starman to the rescue! What a guy. Our superhero comes to earth and battles a bunch of gangster types and saves both planets. This is certainly one of the campiest movies in our library. It's most entertaining in a mindless sort of way. The action is almost non-stop (frantic might be a better word). Makes the liveliest Republic serial seem like a ho-hum affair. A great party film. From 16mm.
