DESCRIPTION
1926 - Davis - Ken Maynard, Alma Rayford, Fred Burns, Tom London, James Lowe, Hollywood Beauty Sextets. Ken is a rugged ranch foreman who captures the mysterious “Black Hawk” and his outlaw gang. Ken leaves the gang tied up and goes to return the gold they have stolen. When a posse arrives, gang manages to convince the sheriff that Ken is really Black Hawk and has made off with the gold. The loot eventually winds up in the possession of the ranch’s Negro cook, while Ken goes after the bad guys in an effort to redeem himself. NOTE: The 16mm print material that our video master was made from was derived from the only known existing material of this ultra-rare Maynard film and is missing the first reel, now considered lost. Music score, 16mm.
