Dr. James Kildare (Lew Ayres) comes to the aid of his supervisor and mentor Dr. Gillespie (Lionel Barrymore) when he nearly collapses from exhaustion, in this third installment of the popular MGM series. It seems that Dr. Gillespie is working on a cure for pneumonia and asks Dr. Kildare for his help when the task proves to be beyond his physical limitations. While the older doctor recovers, Dr. Kildare has his hands full trying to find the cure for pneumonia, while treating a woman (Helen Gilbert) who has been struck down by a case of psychosomatic blindness. But just what is the big "secret" of Dr. Kildare...? Well you'll just have to watch it to find out! From the book of the same name by Max Brand. Released by MGM in 1939.
