A young minister finds himself in trouble when he attempts to save a girl from a stampede. Co-star John Bowers is one of the real-life sources for the composite character played by Frederick March in "A Star Is Born." He actually committed suicide by wading into the Pacific. The character was played in subsequent versions of "A Star Is Born" by James Mason and Kris Kristofferson.
