ORDERING AND SHIPPING

 

You may place your order any of several ways.  Following are step-by-step instructions for placing orders.  The "Basic Ordering" steps are the same for online, fax and mail orders.  For detailed instructions on each payment option, please scroll to that option on this page.  To jump to payment options, click here.

1.  BASIC ORDERING:

  1. SELECT THE ITEMS you which to purchase and click on "ADD TO CART" for each item.  You may change the quantity you wish to order of any item  by clicking on "+" to the left of the item to increase the quantity or on  "-" to the right of the item to decrease the quantity.  If you wish to delete the item completely from your order, click on the or "X" before the item description.  You should always click on "Refresh Cart" after making changes.

  2. When your order is complete, click "CHECKOUT."  If you're a member but haven't logged in, you will be asked to enter your user name and password and click "OK."  If you are not a member or don't want to login, click on the option that allows you to proceed directly to checkout.

  3. If you have a DISCOUNT CODE , enter it in the box provided and press "Go."  If you have a GIFT CERTIFICATE, enter it in the box provided during checkout.

  4. REVIEW your order to make sure it's correct.  If you need to make changes, click on "Edit Cart" to make changes.  When your changes are complete, click on "Refresh Cart" to make sure your order is updated.  You can do this as often as necessary to get your order right!

  5. Enter your ZIP CODE in the box provided.  If you're an international customer, please enter your postal code without spaces.

  6. If you're a MEMBER and have logged in, the billing and shipping information you have given us will appear in the appropriate spaces.  

    If you are NOT A MEMBER OR NOT LOGGED IN, you will need to supply the appropriate billing address and the shipping address, if different from the billing address.  

    MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS should enter a shipping address if  the order is a gift or you'd like it mailed to an address we don't have on file for you.

2.  PAYMENT OPTIONS Select your payment option:

SECURE ONLINE ORDERING - With Credit Card: 
 

  1. After completing the "Basic Ordering" steps, select the the credit card you wish to use (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) from the drop-down menu next to "Payment Options" in the  "Payment Information" section of checkout.

  2. Enter the card information in the boxes supplied.  Please be sure to use the address at which your credit card statement arrives as your billing address since that's the address that's used to verify it's actually you placing the order!  If you wish the order sent to a different address (post office box, as a gift, to work, etc.), fill in the "Ship To" address.


  3. Select a shipping method, either Media Mail (formerly "Book Rate") or "Priority Mail - Insured."

  4. Enter any special instructions, questions or comments in the "Special Instructions" box.

  5. Click on "Submit Order."  This will show you your complete order for final review.  If you need to make changes, click on "Go Back."  If the order is correct, click on "Proceed."

  6. You will get the following message:

    Payment Information Has Been Transmitted and Received Securely.
    It Is Now Safe To Proceed To Your Invoice.

  7. Click on "Your Invoice" to see a copy of the final invoice.  You may print this for your records.  



ORDERING BY  MAIL:  

  1. After completing the "Basic Ordering" steps, select the the "Payment by Mail" option from the drop-down menu next to "Payment Options" in the  "Payment Information" section of checkout.

  2. If you wish the order sent to a different address (post office box, as a gift, to work, etc.), fill in the "Ship To" address.
  3. Select a shipping method, either Media Mail (formerly "Book Rate") or "Priority Mail - Insured."

  4. Enter any special instructions, questions or comments in the "Special Instructions" box.

  5. Click on "Submit Order."  This will show you your complete order for final review.  If you need to make changes, click on "Go Back."  If the order is correct, click on "Proceed."

  6. You will get the following message:

    Payment Information Has Been Transmitted and Received Securely.
    It Is Now Safe To Proceed To Your Invoice.

  7. Click on "Your Invoice" to bring up a copy of the final invoice.  Print this invoice and send it with your personal check (see personal check policy below), money order or credit card information to:

    PERSONAL CHECK POLICY:  We are pleased to accept personal checks.  If you pay by personal check, we allow up to 10 days for the check to clear our bank before shipping your order.  




ORDERING BY FAX: 

After completing the "Basic Ordering" steps,  follow the steps for "ORDERING BY MAIL," then write your credit card information on the invoice or a separate sheet of paper and fax to:

ORDERING BY E-MAIL AND/OR PAYMENT WITH PAYPAL:

To order by e-mail:  Determine the titles and shipping method you wish to order.  E-mail us at orders@lifeisamovie.com for instructions.

To pay with PayPal:  Follow the instructions for "Order by Mail," and enter PayPal in the "Special Instructions" area during checkout.  We will issue you a PayPal payment request for your order total.


INTERNATIONAL ORDERS 

The steps for ordering internationally are the same as for ordering in the USA.  We are working to get ALL international ordering automated, but are dependent upon post office rates and codes.  If your country is not yet automated on our site, please e-mail us so we may activate immediately.  A tip for international orders:  Up to 3 VHS tapes or 6 DVDs will fit in a large Priority Mail International Envelope, depending on packaging.  You'll save a bundle by limiting orders to 3 VHS tapes on one order and submitting multiple orders if you wish to order more than 3 tapes.   The web will may not automatically calculate this for you, so you may wish to contact us for a revised shipping rate or make a note in the comments section of the order.   CLICK HERE to go to basic ordering instructions.  You may always e-mail us for a quote on shipping which we will honor regardless of what the web site quotes.

 

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

We currently offer shipment within the USA via USPS Priority Mail, Media Mail (formerly "Book Rate") or Express Mail.   Priority Mail usually takes 2 to 3 days, Media Mail usually takes from one to two weeks.  If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us to make sure the item is in stock and can ship         


All items ship based on weight plus a small handling fee.  The handling fee is less per item the more items ordered.

 

LEAD TIME -  HOW LONG BEFORE YOUR ORDER SHIPS

In stock titles paid by credit card, PayPal or cashier's check usually ship within three business days of receipt of payment.  We try for one or two days.  I

If  you have ordered a "special order title" or we're awaiting a restocking order for the title, we will ship as soon as the item is in-house.  Special order titles usually have potential shipping delay info on the product detail page.  Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order.
